When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.
RELIABLE STARTING IN COLD TEMPERATURES. Batteries only work at full power in ideal temperatures. If it is too cold, it usually takes time for the battery to warm up. Thanks to the cold start function, the tool is ready to start immediately, even at low temperatures down to -20°C, and offers almost the same output as at ideal temperatures.
FOR DUST BINDING AND COOLING. When working with your power tool, a permanent water supply is provided for flushing the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. With the water connection directly on the power tool, this rinsing is easy and permanently assured.
EXTENDS THE BELT’S SERVICE LIFE. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. All you need is to adjust the adjustment screw with your spark plug wrench. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. For more detailed information on re-tensioning, please refer to the operating instructions of your power tool.
FOR PRECISE GUIDANCE. With the ergonomic handle, you can keep a firm grip on your power tool and carry out cuts precisely, even when dealing with very hard stone. The curved handle offers you an optimised grip position and the highest level of comfort when working.
LONG SERVICE LIFE. Magnets in the cooling air flow intercept ferromagnetic particles from the air so that they do not reach the motor. This protects the motor and enables a long service life with consistently high performance. The filter can be easily removed, cleaned and reinstalled after work if required.
LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.

The ergonomic control handles and rigid design of the TSA 500 B enable precise guidance during positioning and cutting. The TSA 500 B is designed for 350 mm cutting wheels and achieves a maximum cutting depth of 125 mm. Another benefit of the STIHL TSA 500 B battery cut-off machine is the runout brake with recuperation function. It brakes the cutting wheel within seconds – and you can continue working almost immediately. During braking, the kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy and fed into the battery. With the standard water connection, the dust can be efficiently bound both inside and outside. This enables efficient work with reduced strain.
The adjustable magnesium guard with integrated water guide protects during operation. It removes dirt in a targeted manner and at the same time offers a very good view of the cutting wheel.
